The Outworlds Alliance occupies a dangerous spot in the human sphere. Bordering the warring states of both the Federated Suns and Draconis Combine, the fate of the alliance is forever woven into the fates of these two great powers. A largely agricultural and pacifistic nation, the Alliance suffers regular attack from pirates who see them as easy pickings. Despite having a military of it's own, the outworlds alliance regularly has to rely on diplomatic negotiation between Kurita and Davion to have the funds to protect themselves from attackers. The only bright spot is the aerospace force of the Outworlds Alliance which is seen as the best in the periphery and even rivals the great houses in skill if not in size. The flight instructors of the alliance are always in high demand from other periphery states to train their aerotech pilots.
