This is just a quick video to show friends the modifications made to Sandy Shores - I may remake this video when I have more time to explain the changes properly. The previous fiddle yard for Sandy Shores was a 3-track turntable. Unfortunately, it never worked 100% reliably, and was overkill for this layout as there is never any need to turn locomotives, let alone entire trains! I decided before the 009 Society's 50th Anniversary exhibition at Statfold Barn (to which Sandy Shores has been invited) to replace it - all within 3 days of the exhibition itself! A 4 track traverser has now been built - thus increasing storage space. Thanks to its indexing system and above-board electrical contact wipers, it should be much more reliable!
