Workplace bullying and PTSD or PTSI

Bullying can have serious effects on someone's self-esteem, self-worth, purpose, and core sense of self. It is not against the law, but harassment is. Bullying can be top-down or bottom-up, and it can be isolating and lonely for the person being bullied. In some cases, it can lead to PTSD, but it is not always the case. The psychiatrists in the American Armed Forces are proposing that we should change PTSD to PTSI (post traumatic stress injury) because it is something one can recover from.
