But it was a front-wheel drive car. And for many reviewers, car journalists, and Lotus enthusiasts it wasn’t a real Lotus. The Lotus Elan M100 was a very interesting and great car. But it was underrated by car enthusiasts and undeservingly forgotten. It was overshadowed by the first, original Elan of the Sixties.
