During the preparation for cytotoxic drugs the reduction of chemical contamination is essential. Cyto-Set® Mix with needle free valve made of "Tritan™" helps to reduce exposure and is tested to be a closed system acc. to NIOSH. Furthermore the product is tested with different kinds of cytostatic drugs. Mini-Spike® 2 Chemo is recommended for toxic drug admixture as its 0.2 μm air filter reduces the risk of toxic aerosol release and makes the pressure balancing technique unnecessary. PureSite Closed Male Connector is used in combination with a Luer-Lock syringe during preparation. The fluid path only opens when PureSite is connected to a female Luer-Lock connector such as the needle free access port of Cyto-Set® Mix. This closed system helps reducing the risk of exposure to cytostatic drugs.
