RARE Derelict Vintage REK Escalator - Colombus Cruise Center, Bremerhaven, DE

Accidentally found this rare gem whilst walking along the terminal's driveway. An extremely rare vintage Rheinstahl Eggers Kehrhahn escalator from the 1960s, completely original with the iconic REK logo which consists of Rheinstahl's "arc" and Eggers Kehrhahn's "diamond" logo! This was my second time seeing a REK escalator after the ones in Copenhagen (Denmark), but this was my first time seeing a 1960s type. Sadly it's been left derelict for many years as proven by the badly rusted landing cover on the lower floor. It goes up to an overhead bridge which has been closed to the public. Still interesting to see anyway, which is why I decided to film this. A little bit of history; Rheinstahl Eggers Kehrhahn was a German manufacturing company which was formed in the 1950s as the result of merger between Rheinstahl and Eggers Kehrhahn.
