Malou Beauvoir feat. Paul Beaubrun - “Rasenbleman” (Official Video Song)

Please add your comments and click if below if you like this video!!! Haitian American singer songwriter Malou Beauvoir releases “Rasenbleman”, feat. Paul Beaubrun from her new album "SPIRITWALKER", . The first single from SPIRITWALKER, “Rasenbleman” is a homage to the Vaudou spirits and to Beauvoir’s Haitian culture. The song was written by Toto Bissainthe (b. 1934) . The term itself holds a double meaning : “A rassemblement is a rally or gathering,”. In the context of this song it means to ‘join hands in unity’ or ‘rally together’ to find out what happened to ‘les vieux frères’ (the ancestors )– the African and Indian tribes decimated during slavery and to use our voices to move forward in unity.” With renowned Haiitian Singer Songwriter Paul Beaubrun joining Malou on vocals, the song is transformed into an up tempo impassioned cry for all disinherited people to unite and bring about awareness and change. The video depicts a spiritual priestess (Manbo) who unearths a mystical object and unlocks the souls of of the “neg marrons” (Black Maroons) who freed Haiti from slavery. Her call is heard by people in the present as well as the spiritual King of Vaudou who gathers his people around him and join the Manbo and the Vaudou warrior (Paul Beaubrun) to prepare the temple for the next spiritual battle of our century. Filmed in Haiti at LAKOU BOVWA, formerly the Peristyle de Mariani, home of Max Beauvoir, ATI (Supreme leader of Haitian Vaudou), the video features Augustin St Clou, the present day King of Vaudou, the Société Racines Papaye from the Artibonite region, Providanse Ecole et Joanne Phonor compagnie, James Germain and Ayiiti Coles. Song produced by Chico Boyer, Cheff Loncher and Malou Beauvoir Special thanks to Didier Dominique, Lionel Benjamin and Stylist/Makeup artist Mattie Domingue.
