It has the ability to be adapted to whatever you need a fuzz to do. From sputtery velcro rips to big woolly chords, it can all be dialled in. It's so flexible, it can even be used on every single instrument in a rock mix. Yes. Including drums and vocals. I recorded guitars and bass traditionally, with the Carcosa inline. For vocals and drums, I recorded them clean and then used the pedal like a piece of outboard gear; recording a new, fuzzed-up track to replace the clean ones. Carcosa gets its name from the late 19th and early 20th-century horror writings now considered part of the wider Cthulu Mythos. This song pays homage to the authors Ambrose Bierce and Robert W. Chambers; directly incorporating their words and themes into its lyrics. This composer/vocalist claims no intellectual rights to the song's lyrics.
