How To Generate Effortless Power On The Tennis Serve In this video we discuss the importance of using your lower body to create proper alignment, racket head speed and ultimately power. Many coaches will argue the difference between pushing your front hip out versus loading into your back leg. If serving in platform (feet apart) I believe that back leg load is what leads to better loading in the legs and shoulder over shoulder movement throughout the serve. If serving in pinpoint (feet together) I can see how it might be beneficial to use your momentum, push your hip out then transfer your weight up and forward. Regardless the goal will always be to create the most optimal trophy position prior to hitting the ball.
