Dharavi is a locality in Mumbai, India, considered to be one of the world's largest slums. It is home to more than a million people. Many of them are second-generation residents, whose parents moved in years ago. In a city where house rents are among the highest in the world, Dharavi provides a cheap and affordable option to those who move to Mumbai to earn their living. Dharavi is a city within a city and has a reputation of its own. Vikram, a young boy from Dharavi will take you through his journey, his tryst with hip-hop and will debunk myths about the community, followed by an exhilarating set of performances that set the stage on fire. The Dharavi Dream Project in Mumbai is an initiative by Universal Music Group and Qyuki. It aims to give under-resourced hip-hop talent a voice to celebrate, a stage to perform and to empower these young minds.
