What is less talked about are the darker and more disturbing elements that it brings to the table. The episode discussed in this video, Turn Left, is a prime example of this. While aimed at a family audience, the episode discusses and even shows the effects of incredibly dark events. Other episodes such as The Family of Blood, The End of Time, The Rise of the Cybermen and several more all share this as well - each having their own disturbing commentary or subject matter delivered in an accessible and child-friendly way. Episode synopsis: while travelling with 10th Doctor (played by David Tennant), Donna Noble (played by Catherine Tate) is sent into the past by a malevolent force that changes one seemingly minor decision in her life, leading to disastrous consequences.
