Tom was born on 11 June 1949, in the classical town of Ruthin, Denbighshire, Wales during the post world war-II era. His father, Jack Pryce, who had served in the Royal Air Force, was then a local police officer and his mother, Gwyneth Pryce was a housewife. His life wasn’t easy, right from the start, as he lost his elder brother at just the age of 3 and remained an only child for his parents before they fostered a young girl called Sandra for a while. Known as Mald among his childhood friends, Tom had an exciting interest in automobiles, especially cars, right from the beginning of his life.
