WILD Multi Agency Arkansas Pursuit - Car Crash - ASP, AHP, CCSO, LCSO, GCSO, AGFC, PPD

On Friday, April 26, Deputies with the Craighead County Sheriffs Office received a tip that a stolen Jeep Cherokee out of Jonesboro would be heading north on HWY 63 from Lawrence County. Prior to arrival, Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriffs Office located and stopped the vehicle. The vehicle then fled from the stop passing first into Craighead County and then into Green County. The chase went on for multiple miles into Sedgwick and Paragould. Many Agencies assisted in the pursuit including the following: Craighead County Sheriff's Office Lawrence County Sheriffs Office Green County Sheriffs Office Arkansas State Police Arkansas Highway Police Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Paragould Police Department The driver who originally lied and said his name was Butch Stephens, was arrested and Identified as 52-year-old Edward Gene Huff of Clarksville, Tennessee. He holds warrants out of both Tennessee and Maryland, and faces charges across multiple Arkansas Counties, of which will be listed below: 1. Fleeing Felony 2. Fleeing Misdemeanor 3. Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance 4. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 5. Theft by Receiving Greater than $25,000 6. Obstructing Governmental Operations 7. Fictitious Vehicle License 8. Resisting Arrest He is being held in the Craighead County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond and is due back in court on June 26th.
