Ein Trip nach Berlin im Jahr 1959 festgehalten auf 8mm Farbfilm. Die Reisegesellschaft aus drei jungen Männern kam über New York und den Atlantik nach Bremerhaven und mach sich dann mit dem VW Käfer über die Autobahn nach Berlin. Wie bei heutigen Selfies posieren sie vor Berliner Bär und dem Hinweisschild "You´re entering the US Sector of Berlin" als hätten sie unglaubliches erreicht. Aber so fühlte sich das wahrscheinlich an. Erster Blickfang in der Stadt ist ein Kabinenroller von Messerschmitt, bekannt als Fahrzeug des kleinen Mannes. Dann gehts mit einem langen Schwenk zum Reichstag, instandgesetzt und ohne Kuppel. Nächster Stopps des Käfers sind Brandenburger Tor, sowjetisches Ehrenmal, die Kongreßhalle, Potdamer Platz und Niemandsland, kurz zu sehen auch die Stalinallee im Osten der Stadt, ausführlich der Panorama-Rundblick über das wiederaufgebaute West-Berlin vom Funkturm aus gesehen, in das Olympia-Stadion kommt unsere Reisegruppe sogar auf die Laufbahn im Innenraum, bei der Abfahrt begegnet ihnen eine lange Kolonne von Panzern, die ebenso im Film festgehalten wird, wie auch die anschliessende Grenzkontrolle.
