Lalo Guerrero Centennial - Tribute Part 1 of 3 (en español más abajo) In commemoration of the birth-centennial of great American composer, singer and bandleader, Eduardo "Lalo" Guerrero, we share the video recording of the USC Cervantes Club tribute event at USC in 2003, at USC Leavy Library Auditoirium to an intimate crowd that included students from the Lalo Guerrero School of Music and the co-author of Lalo's autobiography Sherilyn Meece Mentes. Part recital, part presentation, Lalo improvised a song selection custom for the audience, with a mix of funny songs such as Ya no hay tortillas, to heart wrenching such as El Carnalito, and internationally known as Nunca Jamas, as he shares pearl of wisdom from his treasure trove.
