Our Volvo 850 needed a new head gasket so we removed the head. We send the head to an engine specialist to get it overhauled and now we got it back in perfect condition. Time to install a new head gasket and start reinstalling the new head! We also replaced some of the last old coolant hoses, the coolant pipe and the water pump. The Volvo has a big emotional value for us and seeing the car sitting still for so many years and watching nature taking over broke our hearts. After nine years, and sitting outside for 7 of those 9 years, we finally got our hands on the 850 and brought it back home where we will restore it to its former glory. Once we finish the restoration, we intend to make a road trip and keep in the family for many more years to come.
