The Spiegel Grove shipwreck became a diving destination for the Upper Keys after its intentional sinking in 2002. Prior to its reincarnation as an artificial reef, it was a U.S. Navy Landing Ship Dock. Jim Wyatt, retired Navy captain and scuba diving instructor will talk about the Spiegel Groves' mission, what is was like to serve and live on her and what is it like to go scuba diving on her. This month is sponsored by HDM member Liz Bonness and the Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs.
