This is my progress throughout my first four years playing the electric guitar! I started playing guitar in Jan 2016 as an adult beginner and I've been entirely self-taught with the help of the internet. Throughout this time I've also been working a full-time job in addition to learning guitar and making videos. I think one of the things I improved most this year was actually my ear! I've been working a lot on learning by ear and I plan to continue to do so going forward. The solo at the end of the video is also a big milestone for me. It's one I attempted a long time ago but gave up on and then decided to try again this year. It was a challenge for me to get it up to speed and, while there is still room for improvement, I feel a lot more confident now in my bends and hammer-ons/pull-offs :).
