Hello. How do you do everyone. Having completed all the regulatory check ride items, we had 5 mins of spare time in the simulator the other day. I thought to show you this: Today, I’m showing you a snippet (abbreviated), of the B747 start sequence and general communications that take place between the pilots, ATC and ground engineering personnel during pushback and engine starting. I as the instructor is playing the role of ATC/ Ground engineer. Several other procedures like briefings/ Airways clearance etc would have already taken place including before start checklists etc. so this clip is abbreviated somewhat- the sim being to show the Comms, tug moving off and engineer showing the bypass pin.
