Nasi Kandar is a traditional food in Penang, Malaysia. A trip to Penang isn't complete without indulging on a plate of Nasi Kandar. The mix curry ( 6 or 7 varieties of curry) spew on the rice and assortment of dishes to choose from. You will have in your hand a beautiful looking plate of Nasi Kandar. Chef Hussain came from a humble beginning and didn't have a formal kitchen education. What he knows is something he learned from his father. He singles handily cook all the food which is served in his place. Chef Hussain told me the menu are freshly prepared every day, and he said his Nasi Kandar is more of comfort food as his food as the taste of a home cooking meal. There are few of his mother's recipe as well, for example, the stir-fried eggs. Monosodium glutamate isn't used in his food which is something familiar nowadays.
