Potol / Parwal / Pointed Gourd (300 gm). 2. Chingri mach (prawn) (250 gm). 3. Potatoes (2 medium size). 4. Chopped Onion (2 medium size). 5. Sliced Tomato (1 big size). 6. Ginger paste (2tbsp). 7. Green chilli paste (5-6 nos). 8. Turmeric powder (1tsp). 9. Cumin powder (1tsp). 10. Red chilli powder (½ tsp ). 11. Garam masala powder. 12. Cumin seed (½ tsp). 13. Dried chilli (2 nos). 14. Garam masala. 15. Bay leaf. 16. Sugar (as per your taste). 17. Salt (as per your taste). 18. Refined oil 19. Ghee (2 tsp). Methods of how to cook POTOL CHINGRI: • First marinate the chingri mach (prawn) with ¼ tsp salt and ¼ tsp of turmeric powder. • Heat the pan and pour 5 tbsp oil. Fry the prawn very well. • Then fry the potato pcs very well. • After this fry the potol pcs. Add ¼ tsp salt and ¼ tsp of turmeric powder. • Add 2tbsp more oil in pan. • Add garam masala, ½ tsp cumin seeds, bay leaf, dried red chilli. Fry 20 -30 sec. • Add chopped onion and fry till become golden brown. • Add sliced tomato. Fry for 1 min in medium flame. • Add 2 tbsp ginger paste, green chilli paste, ½ tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp red chilli powder. Add little amount of water (2-3 tbsp). Mixed it well. Cook for 1 min in medium flame. • Add 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp sugar. Mixed it well. Cook for 2 min in medium flame. • Add fried prawns, fried potatoes, and fried potol. Mixed it well. Cook for 2 min in medium flame • Add 2.5 cups water. When water become boiling close the lid. Cook in medium flame for 15 min. • After 15 min check sugar and salt. Add more as per your taste. • Add ¼ tsp garam masala powder and 2 tsp ghee. Mixed it well. • Put off the gas oven and close the lid for 5 min. • Potol chingri is ready to serve. • After 5 min serve hot with steamed rice etc. Hope you like this most tasty special goromer recipe.
