Assembling My Uplift Desk

During the winter sale in January, I purchased a standing desk from Uplift Desk. I purchased the 80" c-frame commercial desk with the acacia wood 1.5" butcher block top. (spolier alert, I love it) In this video, I unbox the desk and all the accessories that came with it, assemble it, and then give you a little demo of the desk and the kneeling chair. I'm planning to do a review sometime in the coming months, after I've used it for a little while. There are a few things I've learned since filming this video that I want to share here. 1. Knowing what I know now, I would not purchase the advanced wire management kit. The basic kit that comes with the desk has plenty of accessories, and the rest I can use regular zip ties and command strips for. 2. The kneeling chair is actually pretty cool, and has become my every day chair, when I'm not standing. 3. I love standing while working. 4. I love being able to roll my desk to the living room in the evenings to be with my family instead of in my office by myself. 5. I still wouldn't pay extra money for the drawer. If it had not been a free gift (with the purchase of the desk) I would be more upset about the quality. The more I use it, the less I like it. It functions, but it is a stark contrast of quality from the quality of the desk itself. 6. I am glad I didn't upgrade the keypad which controls the desk height. I don't need anything with preset heights. I enjoy the ease of use and the tiny little keypad because it's not obtrusive. I've now been using this desk for two weeks and I am very happy with it. I am productive at work but I still get to move around a little during my work day. I also purchased a little stepping machine on Amazon which allows me to get some steps in but isn't a big bulky treadmill or walking pad (and cost me less than $100!).
