The mid-90's was a rough patch for the Redskins against Cardinals. Washington won both games in '97 but otherwise went 3-9 from '93-'98 against Arizona, a team they had totally dominated over the preceding 15 seasons. That all ended on this Sunday night. On a night when rookie corner back (and future HOF'er) Champ Bailey announced his presence to the NFL with three interceptions (one returned for a breakthrough TD in the first half), the much-maligned Redskins defense dominated to lead the team to victory. Injury riddled Jakle Plummer couldn't recapture his '98 magic as the Cardinals began a slow fade from the '99 playoff chase. Theis win rebooted the winning ways vs Arizona for Washington, who currently hold a solid 13-5 record vs the Cardinals since this game. Remastered from VHS to 1080p(ish) digital with groveling apologies for the weird thing that happens around 8:00 into the vid.
