On my last trip to LA, I went to see my buddy ‪@owen.han‬ to shoot a video together. We had a recipe planned out for a duck sandwich that didn't work because I couldn't fennel at the grocery so we decided to go with a duck Banh Mi instead. It was sooooooo good that I had to go an do it in a long format video to make it easier for everyone to try at home. Here's the recipe: Ingredients Pickled carrots and daikon 2 pounds carrots (about 5 medium), peeled 2 pounds daikon radish, peeled 1 cup plus 4 teaspoons sugar 2 teaspoons salt 2 1/2 cups white vinegar 2 cups warm water star anise pickling spices Duck Banh Mi 1 duck magret (or 2 duck breast) 1 baguette 2 tbsp mayo cilantro to taste 1 jalapeños (thinly sliced) 1 green onion (chopped) 1 cucumber (julienne) forgot to add it in the video Maggi seasoning Infused honey 400g liquid honey 1 shallot 1 knob of ginger 2 stalks of lemongrass 2 chilli peppers 4-5 cloves of garlic 2 star anis 1 cinnamon stick 1/2 tbsp coriander seeds 1/2 tbsp black peppercorn
