Mother Bird Approves of Her New Nest

Gates Wildlife Technician Cassandra removed five baby starlings from a soffit of a home last week. All the babies were placed in one of our reunion jugs, which acts as a temporary nest for the family until the babies are big enough to leave the nest on their own. We leave the jug on site until this happens, then return to remove the jug for the homeowner. Watch this video to see up close footage of the mother bird returning to her nest to discover our jug. It is very interesting to see how she works up the courage to land on the jug and feed her babies. Please Note: some PPE's were removed for filming purposes.
