It uses half the Water, taking less than half the time, to wash, rinse, and wring-out a bucket of Clothes...; despite having to wash the bucketful in two batches.... Two lots of 50 minutes, using 25 litres for each load, gives 100 minutes & 50 buckets of Water...; as compared to 240 minutes and 100 - 120 litres, with the old direct-drive Tumbler-types...., and one doesn't have to freeze one's hands wringing out coldwater washed Laundry in Winter, either.... So, literally twice as good, in each of 3 separate and independant Measuring Criteria...; which is almost "mind-buggaringly impressive", after 20 years spent using the earlier iterations...! The Miracles of modern Progress, indeed. And, not only but also..., but my $50 Handheld 3-D Printed UV-Cured Plastic Gap-Filler actually "Failed to Fail....(!)", as well - despite the savage violence of the abundant Vibration which was attendant on running the Drum at 5.5 to 1 Step-Up Ratio...! One wonders how long the Plastic Planetary-Gears will withstand such heavy oscillating Load-cycles.... I'm probably goanna open up the Gearbox, & grease it's Innards with Olive Oil... (because Nylon absorbs Mineral Oils & Greases, and thennit swells up - making Bearings tighten and causing Gears split asunder Radially...!). Sometimes..., it really IS a matter of What you know, regardless of Who you know...; and trying to lubricate Nylon with Dinosaur-Juice is a total No-No, y'know...(?) !
