This video describes the thinking involved with making the jump from a storyboard/animatic to rough animation. One way to think about animating a sequence is to split your scenes based on the types of backgrounds that you have. This works really well in Storyboard Pro because you get reset cameras in every scene, meaning that camera adjustments from previous scenes don't transfer over to the new scene, allowing for more control over visual storytelling. Once your animatic is buttoned down, you take advantage of its benefits by using the timing and illustrations. You can use those storyboard images as extremes and breakdowns in your animation especially since the timing and audio are already synced up. I hope this was helpful.
