Demon Boyz performing live on Tim Westwood's N Sign Radio on Night Network in 1988. Here they are performing 'Rougher Than An Animal' off their amazing debut album 'Recognition'. Demon Boyz are without doubt one of the most influential and important Hip Hop groups the UK has ever produced. Not only did they inspire so many of the youth of their generation but they set the standard like only a handful of artists were able to do, and showed us all what was possible. Their debut album 'RECOGNITION' made a landmark statement and firmly put the UK on the map, reinforcing British music culture as a force to be reckoned with. The group members were Mike J, Demon D & DJ Devastate, all holding their own within the group and standing strong together, stamping their authority throughout Europe and respected by all our American counterparts who heard them. Signed to Music Of Life Records, their work was well distributed throughout Europe and their recognition earnt. A few more releases unfortunately led to the group disbanding and Mike J changing his name to carry on his musical journey under the name change of Million Dan. After the group went their separate ways, not much has been heard of the group although from time to time we hear that DJ Devastate might turn up to the odd old school bbq from time to time, but that's all we know.
