We, Kevin and Katie, walked the historic Hadrian's wall path for 84 miles, from Bowness on Solway to Wallsend, in 5 days. This is our first multi-day self sufficient hike, carrying all of our food, clothes and camping equipment. The walk took us through some beautiful scenery, the best of the British landscape. Day 1 - Bowness of Solway to Bleatarn Farm - 22 miles Day 2 - Bleatarn Farm to Greenhead - 14 miles Day 3 - Greenhead to Greencarts - 17 miles Day 4 - Greencarts to Heddon on the wall - 19 miles Day 5 - Heddon on the wall to Wallsend - 12 miles Equipment list •Tent: MSR ELIXIR 3 BACKPACKING TENT (GREEN) •Sleeping quilt: Therm-a-Rest Apogee Quilt •Roll mat: THERMAREST NeoAir XLite Sleeping Mat •Seat mat: Therm-a-Rest Z-Seat Trekking Seat •Cooking Stove: MSR Windburner 1.0L Stove - Black •Rucksack: GREGORY Womens Octal 55 Litre Rucksack (Katie),Gregory OPTIC MENS 58 M LAVA GREY (KEVIN) •Walking sticks: Black diamond trail pole (Katie), Black diamond carbon z (Kevin) Shoes: Altra lone peaks 3.5 (Kevin). We learnt a lot about ourselves and our equipment during the walk which will set us up for our next adventure, the West Highland Way.
