This Scroll Saw Template Trick Changes EVERYTHING!

There is a different, maybe better way, to use templates in your scroll saw projects. Here’s what I do to get the best looking scroll saw art… Skip the painter’s tape. Skip using packing tape to stick your template to your board. Go with contact paper! Contact paper is the perfect thing for sticking a paper template to wood. It peels off the wood easily. It doesn’t leave a sticky mess. It’s clear, so you can see the wood grain. Contact paper is also large. That means you don’t have to use a million painter’s tape strips to cover a large board. Apply contact paper, spray your paper template with adhesive, and then stick onto your contact paper. Cut out the template or shapes with your scroll saw.
