Energy, phosphorus and amino acid digestibility in Lemna protein concentrate

Oscar Rojas, Ph. D. student in the Stein Monogastric Nutrition Laboratory, discusses the results of three experiments performed with Lemna protein concentrate, to determine: 1) the concentrations of digestible and metabolizable energy; 2) the standardized total tract digestibility of phosphorus; and 3) the standardized ileal digestibility of crude protein and amino acids. In all three experiments, values for Lemna protein concentrate were compared with values in fish meal and conventional soybean meal.
