📖 2 Hour Study with piano 🎹 / 50-10 Pomodoro / in Osaka / 240706

Hi everyone, I’m currently studying in a corner of Osaka, Japan. I’d love to hear in which corner of this world you’re studying (or working on anything) from. Knowing we’re all pushing forward together gives me the energy to keep going. Let’s support each other on this journey! My study sessions mainly involve math, databases, and algorithms with a lot of coding, so you'll frequently find me typing on my computer. To enhance my concentration, I usually study with the soothing sounds of rain, chill lofi music, or sometimes in complete silence. I will be a graduate student at the University of Glasgow in Scotland from September 2024, , pursuing computer science. Shifting from politics to computer science, I'm currently learning the basics to prepare myself. I started recording my study videos to help keep me motivated. I am not a genius. I don't understand equations instantly or identify code errors in the blink of an eye. It takes minutes (or hours) of thinking, dozens of queries to chatGPT, and a few quiet curses towards my screen and textbooks until making sense of each problem. As an average learner, my strategy centers on consistency, repetition, and gradual learning and improvement. Thus, in each Pomodoro cycle, I try to review what I've done and how I can improve my learning approach. Sometimes, I sit at my desk, working on a single issue for 3 hours without making any progress. In videos, my study might seem smooth and comfortable but in reality, I'm constantly taking two steps back after two steps forward. I believe many of you can relate to it. On YouTube, it's common to see others effortlessly solve problems that we find challenging. This can sometimes shake my confidence, tempting me to give up and just watch. However, I want to embrace a gritty, seemingly negligible small-step approach and leave the trace of my journey here. I hope these videos will serve as useful and encouraging resources on your journey. I am all for the ordinaries who are struggling to keep up in some corner of this world. Wishing the very best for you. #studywithme #studymusic #pomodoro #studywithmerain #lofi
