Tony Keady - 1963 - 2017 - RIP After mass at 2pm today (Sunday) at the Church of The Immaculate Conception in Oranmore, one of the members of the last Galway team to claim the Liam McCarthy trophy will be laid to rest. The GAA world is still coming to terms with the untimely passing of Galway great Tony Keady, who leaves behind his wife Margaret, and children Shannon, Anthony, Jake and Harry. He will be laid to rest on the shores of Galway Bay. In recent seasons Tony, regarded as one hurling's all time great centre half backs, graced the studios of Today FM's Championship Sunday. He gave us great insight into this great game of ours and brought his trademark warmth. We remember him this morning and his last visit here in 2015, the morning after appearing on 'Up for the Match' to finally receive his 1988 All Ireland Final 'Man of the Match' award.
