2021 PHRI Keynote Lecture "My Journey as a Biostatistician" presented by Lehana Thabane, PhD

Dr. Lehana Thabane is a Professor of Biostatistics and Interim Chair of the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact; Associate member of the Departments of Pediatrics and Anesthesia, School of Nursing, and School of Rehabilitation Science, in the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario, Canada). He is also the Director of Biostatistics at St. Joseph’s Healthcare—Hamilton (Ontario, Canada); and senior Scientist at the Population Health Research Institute at Hamilton Health Sciences. He has won several teaching and supervision awards including the CE&B Excellence Award in Teaching; the FHS Excellence in Graduate Supervision Award; and the McMaster President’s Excellence in Graduate Supervision Award. Dr. Thabane has extensive experience as an educator and mentor. To-date he has mentored over 100 MSc, PhD and Postdoc trainees, including several junior faculty.
