One year ago, I swore to myself that I'd watch Gintama in completion. Regardless of whether or not I enjoyed it, I was resolved to see the show through and make my own opinion based on my experience. And well, now one year later, I've finished watching all of Gintama and it has honestly lived up to everything people have raised it up to be. The serious arcs are phenomenal. The comedy is hilarious. The characters are incredibly well written. And the emotional highs hit so damn hard. Gintama is amazing, it truly is. It's an anime that I wholeheartedly believe to be one of the best and it's also an anime that has impacted me in a way not many shows have been able to do.
