Huge DIY Paper mache GOLDEN leaf angel wings.

I started this project back in April or May ,while our children were still in school, I did as much as I could every chance I got and I just finally finished it.We had a lot of cardboard to recycle and that's when I got an idea of making something cool out of a few of our cardboard boxes.I drew one big wing,cut it out,traced it to make another one .I now cant quite remember the amount of little feathers I made but it was over a 100 pieces per wing,I made them all different shapes and sizes ,traced them all for the other wing just so they would look somewhat similar .After I was done gluing them I started paper mache. Flour, hot water and salt to help with mold ,there are a lot of recipes on internet. Newspapers worked for me best ,I did a couple of layers, maybe an additional layer on the outer feathers making sure to wait 24 h between those layers for proper drying to again, avoid mold.I also gave a few rubs of that paste by itself to make wings really sturdy, hard to get that wood or metal look at the end and not the cardboard. I first sprayed it all black as my base coat ,then I thought I had a perfect color spray paint but it turned out a little too light so I handpainted them with same but darker kind of acrylics I had.I then added my golden leaf/flakes I had with mod podge (I did not have golden leaf adhesive) I touched it up with just a little bit of metalic lustre I had and sealed those pretty wings with glossy sealer. One wing measures: over 1 foot wide & over 3 feet long
