It was supposed to be a washout, but sometime on Thursday / Friday the forecast started to change in our favor and boy did it deliver. Only a slight chill at the start under somewhat cloudy skies. The video is actually pretty boring after the start once the big group is broken up. There was a group of 10 that got away on the Suck Creek climb and they obviously held it to the end. Technically 9 because there was one 50 miler in the group. I crossed over the top 1 minute 20 behind the group and in 12th and that ?????. You have to watch to find out. Keep in mind the front group included George, Bobby, Christian and a Gran Fondo World Champion from Canada (yes, that's a thing and he ended up winning)The video is not that exciting because we were the 2nd group on the road and there were only 3-4 of us. 3 from the Stairstep climbs to the finish. Big group shots at the beginning. After that it's pretty sparse. If you want to see the full descent of Suck Creek in its entirety and the Sequatchie climb in its entirely, you've come to the right place. The timeline breakdown is on the opening scene. Regardless, it was a great event as usual and I got to go back to Chattanooga (I used to live there) and hang out with some friends.....and eat...and eat some more.
