Muhammad Sanusi is officially the Emir of Kano. Earlier today he received his letter of appointment from Governor Abba Yusuf at the Government House in Kano city. The reinstated Emir received his appointment letter at a grand reception from the Governor of Kano and is resume work as the sole first-class Emir of the state. Governor Abba Yusuf announced the reinstatement of the former governor of the CBNon Thursday, after the sack of the five emirs following his assent to the bill abrogating the emirates. Governor Yusuf also issued a 48- hour notice to the deposed Emirs to vacate the royal palaces.
