The Minecraft Survival Guide Season 3 continues in Minecraft 1.20.2! In this tutorial, we take the fight to the Illagers as we explore and loot two Woodland Mansions. First, we explain how unlikely it is to run into a Woodland Mansion near your spawn, which makes it convenient that you can buy a map to a mansion from Cartographer villagers! Unfortunately, that map can take you thousands of blocks away (which is why it's nice to wait until we have Elytra before making the trip!) At our first mansion, we manage to reacquaint ourselves with Vindicators and dip into a couple of loot chests before disaster strikes and the mansion self-destructs! Thankfully this uncovers a few secret rooms, including some with diamond armour and the Vex armor trim Smithing Template - and the Allays survive unscathed so we can rescue them from the mansion cells! At the second mansion discover a surprise Abandoned Village, we get up close and personal with Evokers, loot even more chests, and explore the layout of the mansion (because this one didn't burn itself down before we could look around!) We also discuss how not every mansion has secret rooms, why Vindicators might be worth saving if you can trap them, and why the Vex aren't the only things Evokers keep up their sleeves!
