Today's episode features Pat substituting for Holly. The show aired January 19, 1984. Season 12 e5164D Recorded off the air from Game Show Network This show was taped November 30, 1983 (Dian Parkinson's Birthday). Bob Barker announces her birthday during the playing of "Hit Me". This show was taped during Holly Hallstrom's extended absence to pursue acting. Several substitute models took her place during late Fall 1983 and early Spring 1984 episodes. Before Kathleen Bradley in the 1990s, Pat was not the first black model on TPIR. Harriet was actually the first black model on the show way back in 1972. When The New Price Is Right premiered in 1972, there was a companion weekly syndicated nighttime version hosted by Dennis James. Several of the early Season 1 episodes featured Harriet along with Anitra Ford and Janice Pennington. One of these early episodes is available on YouTube.
