This film got us emotional as it showed us the amount of courage Desmond Doss showed and just how much he sacrificed in order to save lives. Directed by Mel Gibson, Hacksaw Ridge tells the story of Desmond Doss, a World War II medic who went into the battlefield without bearing arms. They did such an amazing job at showing us just how terrible the events in Okinawa were. The performances were absolutely incredible. Especially Andrew Garfield as Desmond Doss and Hugo Weaving as Tom Doss. They both gave powerful performances filled with emotion. We hope you enjoy our reactions and commentary as we dive into this film. From the gut-wrenching battle sequences to the emotional depths the story takes us allowing us to connect with Doss's character this movie is one that we highly recommend.
