Bombs over Peebles

The picturesque town of Peebles nestles in the rolling hills of the Scottish Borders some 30 miles south of Edinburgh. It is a tranquil place and well worth visiting to enjoy a peaceful stroll by the River Tweed. It comes as a shock, therefore, to learn that 80 years ago, the bombs of the German Luftwaffe, rained down across this gentle town. WW2 left its mark on the hills around Peebles. For many more excellent historical films in and about the Scottish Borders, I would point you in the direction of Mark Nicol. One of my favourite channels. / marknicol123
