SM64 - Bowser in the Dark World (with Red Coins) - 0x A Presses

I complete the level Bowser in the Dark World while also collecting the red coin star using 0 A presses. This video is an improvement from my previous video in which I did this in 2 A presses. You can find that video here:    • SM64 - Bowser in the Dark World (with...  . Since then, two improvements were made: The first improvement was for getting past the structure with the yellow back-and-forth platform (right after the crystal section). The way I got past this without pressing A works as follows: The crystal I used has a weird hitbox that pushes Mario outwards. And so, I have Mario do a dive recover right as the crystal pushes him away, moving him from a point of lower elevation to a point of higher elevation. This rise in the floor matches Mario's own ascent into the air, cutting short his dive recover and causing him to instantly be back on the ground, but with his vertical speed conserved. Punching and breakdancing do not affect the vertical speed, so Mario can punch to move forwards. Thus, I maintain this vertical speed, move to the structure I wish to get past, become airborne to activate the vertical speed, and grab onto the structure! Note that amp made this trek unnecessarily difficult, as I had to wait for his path to align such that I could crouch under him to get past him. The second improvement was for getting into the warp pipe. The way I do this is by using a 207 dive recover. This is a technique to use a dive recover to ascend at most 207 units by taking advantage of poor object collision testing. Essentially, the sides of the warp pipe push Mario outwards, but these sides are misaligned at one particular corner. Therefore, Mario can do a dive recover into this misalignment, allowing him to get under the top without being pushed away by the sides. The top then clips Mario upwards onto it and he can enter the warp pipe! The first improvement was a collaborate effort between myself, Plush, and Tyler Kehne. The second improvement was made entirely by Tyler Kehne. ABC Playlist:    • Super Mario 64 - A Button Challenge   ABC Routes: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1y...
