Back when @brutalmoose reviewed Dream Bunny, it seemed like any other weird tape that gained popularity on YouTube. Fun and slapdash, but ephemeral. But the real sticking power of Dream Bunny lies in the mystery of its production; a mystery that's basically unsolvable at this point. There are only about 5 total videos examining Dream Bunny on YouTube, and the tapes all come from one source: some guy selling reproductions on eBay and his website. So where did it come from? Why is it so off-putting? The answer begs to be sinister or horrifying, but the reality is much more mundane - these sorts of pilots were made constantly. For every Dream Bunny, there are dozens (hundreds) of amateurish shows and films lost to time. Everybody wanted a piece of that TV and Home Video dollar.
