Waterman's #7 - Collection Update

It's been a while since I did a Waterman's collection update. I was making little episodes of "Waterman's Ideal" where I talked about various pens in my collection. But this is a BIG update! The Waterman's No. 7 fountain pens were innovative for the time. Back in the day, you really had to look at the nib to figure out what you were using to write with and this "color coded" system was revolutionary! Each color means a different point. The original 7's had just six points which was later made into seven. There were as many as 9 different styles to choose from and the 10th, WHITE has yet to ever be seen. I am really only interested in the original "Red Ripple" hard rubber pens and I will continue to collect until I can get that perfect set (of nine)! My ephemera collection is also popping! This is what I love about collecting vintage! There is so much more than just pens out there like advertising, signs, ink bottles, and even display trays!
