Haraldr Blátǫnn - Skálar

Harald "Bluetooth" Gormsson (Haraldr Blátǫnn in Old Norse), was a10th-century king of Denmark and Norway and is renowned for uniting parts of both countries under his rule. His nickname "Bluetooth" likely stems from a discolored tooth or his ability to unite people. Harald faced conflicts, including with the German Emperor Otto I, and sought to promote Christianity. His death led to challenges in maintaining unity, but he laid the groundwork for the eventual unification of Denmark and Norway. He was said to have brought Christianity to the Vikings and therefore came in conflict with pagan community's like the Jomsvikings. The name "Bluetooth" for wireless technology is derived from Harald Bluetooth. Engineer Jim Kardach, involved in its development, chose the name due to Harald's unifying legacy. The Bluetooth logo, combining the runes H (ᚼ) and B (ᛒ) from the Old Norse runic alphabet, represents Harald's initials. This symbolizes the connection of devices, akin to Harald Bluetooth's unification of different regions in his realm. @Skálar
