Join us for a virtual tour of St. Peter's Square and Basilica in 4K UHD! 📽️ Recorded: 16 Sep 2023 starting at 5:30 PM In this 4k walking video from our Italy trip, we enter the Vatican City from Via del Mascherino to meet Via del Corridori street, crossing the Italia-Città del Vaticano (Italy-Vatican City) border and walking through the Vatican City fortress in Rome that surrounds the Vatican City and has, over the years protected popes from the enemies. Don’t worry! You just need to walk through - it’s unlike the usual country borders. We then take some beautiful views of St. Peter's Square with the iconic St. Peter's Basilica and the two fountains created by Carlo Maderno and Gian Lorenzo Bernini. We then follow the Via della Conciliazione main street for some spectacular views of the Basilica. Then, we take a right towards Via San Pio X to reach the Ponte Vittorio Emanuele II, the historic bridge with 3 arches on the River Tiber. From there we head back to walk towards Castel Sant'Angelo, a 2nd-century castle housing paintings and furniture collections in Renaissance apartments.
