The race is on. Professor Charles Leiter is dead and the crimson letters are missing. Dean Bryce Fallon of Miskatonic University urgently wants this problem fixed. Not only does the professors death through suspicion on many of the facility, the loss of the crimson letters have the possibility of opening the University up to charges of misappropriation and theft. The letters are a rarity from the 1690s – A firsthand insight into the life during the infamous Arkham Witch Trials. When the letters first surfaced many wealthy collectors and museums took a keen interest and the bidding war was on. The hobbhouse estate who owns the letters asked for an assessment by the university to determine the true value of the letters before opening a private auction. This needs cleaned up quickly and quietly. Dean Fallon has called in all the favours and help he knows of to track down the theft and killer before the family finds they are even missing. Reputations and jobs are on the line and the presence of the police are already raising questions from students.
