I lost a friend once they found out I was gay... // Chat about Sexuality + Religion

Sharing something that happened to me recently with a close friend of mine, but also I wanted to shed light on a very important issue and misconception that "being gay is a sin". I grew up in a Roman Catholic household and school, and I was always taught that being homosexual was a grave sin and you must not act on your "desires and impulses", and if you do, you must ask God for forgiveness. It was a really toxic mindset for me because I would shame and berate myself for feeling attraction towards girls, therefore, suppressing it even more. It caused me extreme depression, anxiety and hurt. But once I was able to understand that God loves me and made me the way I am, I was liberated from those beliefs. I know that this is a very common situation, and a touchy subject for some, but this video is meant to uplift and spread love to anyone experiencing this, no harm intended. I hope it can help even just one of you feel comfortable proudly identifying as LGBTQ+ and know that someone is here to listen and understand you.
