The Dusky Track is a tough 8-10 day tramp in deepest Fiordland on the South Island of New Zealand. It is renowned for mud, sandflies, treefall and slow progress. It is also stunningly beautiful. This is the story of our trip in late November 2020. We were only the third boat in for the year and perhaps that is why there was so much treefall blocking the path, adding to track times. It is challenging, but it is also very worthwhile. The two day out and back to Supper Cove should not be missed and that section along with the high passes was the highlight.
